ROSWELL VS. MILTON
This year will mark the 67th
time Roswell and Milton have
suited up and gone against one
another. This rivalry began back
in 1950, when the city of Roswell
housed just 2,000 residents.
Over time, this annual meeting
has emerged as one of the top
high school football games in
the state. Roswell holds a 35-24-1
advantage over Milton.
CHARLTON COUNTY VS. CLINCH COUNTY
BROOKWOOD VS. PARKVIEW
In a 10-year period from 1996-2005, there might not have
been a better rivalry in the state of Georgia than Brookwood
and Parkview. These teams were producing Division I talent
year in and year out and had many great gridiron battles. And
Parkview went 45-0 from 2000-2002. The rivalry began in
1982 with Brookwood holding a 20-13 advantage in the series.
CLARKE CENTRAL VS. CEDAR SHOALS
LINCOLN COUNTY VS. WASHINGTON-WILKES
One of the older rivalries in the state, the matchup
between Lincoln County and Washington Wilkes dates all
the way back to 1945. The two teams each have rich football
histories as they’ve combined for 18 state titles — Lincoln
County with 14 and Washington-Wilkes with four. Lincoln
County is 30-16 all-time but Washington-Wilkes has won the
past three meetings.
ELBERT COUNTY VS. HART COUNTY
It’s a must for each football fan in the Elbert
and Hart counties to attend this annual rivalry.
Both Elbert County and Hart County have a
long history, with this series beginning back
in 1954. This game is historically even, with
Elbert County leading 31-28. After enduring five
consecutive losses, Elbert County is 3-2 in the
past five games.
