“As the season progressed the kids began
hearing our fans talking about the scoreless
streak. As a coach in the middle of district play
i’m not thinking about shutouts and streaks,”
Alexander said. “As coaches, we didn’t want to
overdo that because a win was what we were
playing for. As the season progressed into the
playoffs that changed. in hindsight, i can tell
you i wouldn’t want to be a coach and have to
worry about all that now.

the state championship, so it was a great relief
